Baroness's Challenge

BARONESS’ CHALLENGE

REGIONAL ART/SCI FAIRE

MICHAELMAS

OCTOBER 5, 2013

Since last year’s Baroness’ Challenge was such a big hit with all the artisans, it was decided to do it again this year.

The theme of the event is Robin Hood, so in keeping with that theme, the following challenge is issued:

Create and enter (at any level with which you are comfortable) some “thing” which would have been used by Robin Hood, Maid Marian, and/or the Merry Men of Sherwood Forest. It can be anything from food to hunting equipment to woodworking to clothing or whatever you think they’d need to be as legendary as we’ve made them.

There is a time period restriction. We ask that your project and documentation reflect the years between 1150 AD and 1300 AD. We also ask that your entry paperwork state the entry is for the Baroness’ Challenge.

If you need any help finding or dating a project, or coming up with documentation for a project, please do not hesitate to ask for help. We have a large number of artisans in the Barony who are willing to assist you as much as possible.

This is a great opportunity to do that odd little something you’ve had in the back of your mind for a long time, and a Regional A/S Faire is a fabulous place to dip your toes into the Art/Sci pool. Come on and play with us!!
