Members of the SCA,

An Crosaire is looking for volunteers for our big annual demo!

    • Fighters - both heavy and light weapons wanted for fighting demos.
    • Artisans and craft persons to show how it's done in our "village".
    • Musicians and dancers for dancing demos.
    • Hospitallers to welcome fair-goers and be a spokesperson for the SCA.
    • Support people to help where needed.

Thank you for all your help and support again this year.

Setup: Setup Day will be on January 20 and 21, 2018. We will need people to meet both at the Fairgrounds AND at the storage shed. While we load up at the shed, living history can be set up.

3) Where can I stay? - There are many hotels in Gainesville. Most are out by I-75. There are a few hotels and B&Bs downtown and on SW 13th street. Check your favorite travel service website for listings.

We also have crash space and tent space available for those who need it. Please contact the Event Steward if you need a place to stay or pitch your tent.

4) What do I wear? - Please wear Ren Faire appropriate garb. We will have Viking, Greek and Roman, Italian, French, English in the tents. Bring a cloak. The weather always ranges from wet, to hot, to cold.

Please do NOT wear your SCA ranking jewelry or belts (unless that is the only belt you have). Our ranking system maybe confusing to the mundane populace.

Do NOT bring your expensive items with you. Thievery does happen (especially on kids day).

NO live steel, not even peace-tied.
